Mary Rice Early Learning Centre supports children development by following a play-based learning philosophy as we believe pre-primary education is an essential tool for improving learning and education outcomes for life.
A very important point in “learning through Play” is to build lifelong learners and supporting children’s development.
During Early Years, learning is taking place at a speed that will never be equalled; and learning through play is relevant throughout the whole early childhood and beyond.
Each day the activities are carefully considered as the Educators think about how to teach young children and their enormous potential for learning. Our environments will promote play, exploration and hands on learning.
Early Years Learning Framework
Our practices and curriculum are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework that supports children agency, towards choices, exploration, imagination and much more.
Our Kindergarten Curriculum
Our kindergarten curriculum follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and we also offer a funded kindergarten program to give every child in QLD the best start to their education. Each program is delivered and taught by our bachelor qualified early childhood teachers.
