About Mary Rice ELC
The Mackillop Building which houses Mary Rice Early Learning Centre started its life as an International School on the Nudgee College campus.
After being underutilised for several years, and after conducting a feasibility study, it was felt that an ELC would complement the established educational facilities on this site. After several years of planning, the building underwent a huge renovation in 2020 to transform it into our beautiful ELC. Whilst we are located on the grounds of Nudgee College, we are a separate school but enjoy the benefits of being part of this wider community in this beautiful space.
Our centre provides experiences within a diverse curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to learning for the children.
Our Governance
MRELC is an initiative of EREA (Edmund Rice Education Australia), and accordingly is governed by the policies, procedures and guidelines as established by the administering body. Within this framework, the MRELC is considered as an educational entity. More information is available on the EREA website at www.erea.edu.au
Our Advisory Group
An Advisory Group was established in 2020 to assist with the development and implementation of appropriate strategies across both our business and educational practices at MRELC. This group brings talents from both within the educational and commerce sectors. It is a sounding board and brainstorming group which helps to facilitate the underlying commitments, philosophy and mission of Mary Rice ELC.
